9 lion babies born in the same day

The animal parks manager, Fabrizio Sepe, say that the birth of nine lion babies in the same time but with different mothers is a "sensation".

"In the 35-year history of this animal park this has never happened before. It is certainly something special."

A veterinarian checked the animal's health condition while a small crowd of camera crews stood prepared to film their every move. Fabrizio Sepe says the Serengeti Animal Park,Germany is so fortunate to have so much harmony between the animals.

Why should we be so happy about this? The lion population of Africa has dropped from 200,000 twenty years ago to an awful 23,000 today.
