Europeans were cannibals and preferred baby meat
New shocking revelations were made by the team of archaeologists involved in the Atapuerca project, held in northern Spain. It seems that prehistoric Europeans were cannibals.
Initially, according to Jose Maria Bermudez de Castro, it was believed that European people were crippling and killing each other in some religious rites. New evidence lead to the idea that they eat each other and, according discovered bone fragments, it appears that the preferred meat of the child.
Archaeologists can not understand exactly why they do so, because they could hunt wild animals and consume them. So it wasn’t the lack of food that causes them to resort to cannibalism but what was?
