Morbid art mix in Thailand cuisine
Bread Body Parts by chef Kittiwat Unarrom
What we all know about Thailand was it’s a beautiful country in south east of Asia by the same size of California and a little smaller that Texas. It is a tourism attraction and it is know as “Pearl of Asia”.
In this wonderful landscape a local artist make a new kind of art a little different from the landscape around him. Evan is work is more in the Halloween department his shop is visit by hundreds of curios tourists. Somewhere in Ratchaburi province in Potharam village lives Thai Fine Art student and artist Kittiwat Unarrom the son of a baker and the main character of this article. At his 28 years old he created a different kind of artistic exposition. In a semi dark room he stacked on shelves and hanging on hooks realistic looking "human body parts". The place looks like a mortuary but on a closer look it is just bread.
His inspiration comes from anatomy books and his visits to forensic museum.
Kittiwat Unarrom say : “When people see the bread, they don’t want to eat it. But when they taste it, it’s just normal bread. The lesson is ‘don’t judge just by outer appearances.”
